Gong Training

Training is an ongoing process for everyone  interested in the gong and in themselves. Each training meeting is an update on the relationship with the gong and naad yoga. In addition to training sessions, the school provides  and recommends a program of yogic-meditative studies, which is an integral part of the training path.

Viaje Sonoro

Since 2017, the school had held the annual “Viaje Sonoro”, a tourist experience of profound personal transformation and in some cases, sound training. On these journeys we explore the essence of local sounds and vibrations, and consequently, of ourselves. The destinations are: India, Nepal, Guatemala, Argentina and Brazil.

GonGaia Meditations

Under the GonGaia project, the school offers meditations in archaeological sites or places in nature that are part of the cultural and historical heritage of the place, some already recognized as world heritage sites. The goal is to expierence the continuous vibrational alignment between human beings, the community and Mother Earth.

Gong Training

The gong is a yogic path of meditation. Training means embarking on a process of personal transformation, practice, and liberation. At GonGaya, we share the gong from its essence: naad yoga.

The education provided is holistic and personalized (individual or small groups) to expand the potential of each individual as much as possible.

The teaching method was created by Vani Levi based on her own studies and research in the area for almost 15 years, respecting the principles transmitted by master Yogi Bhajan. Within the complexity of gong, the instruction system is genuine, simple and open to all interested.

The method is divided into the following stages according to the personal objective.

Iniciation

The focus of awarness is on the correct execution of the sound so that the result is a gong meditation. In this part of the process, participants learn to play the gong harmoniously and to begin listening and understanding the vibratory language of its sound in order to offer harmonious meditations based on the principles of naad yoga.

It also includes the practice, experimentation and exploration of the voice with techniques from indian classical music.

At this stage, gong meditations or moments of «Savasana» can be offered to provide expierences that enduce relaxation.  Therapists from various areas can incorporate and integrate a fefw minutes of  gong into their practices.

Practitioner

The focus of awarness is on the meditative sound. In this part of the process you will delve deeper into understanding the sound language of the gong and the meditative and sensory process.

This is a stage of the process that requires much practices and years of consistently offering gong meditations.

Just as with the sound of the gong, this is also a stage that requires much practice with the voice and silent listening.

At this point, it is necessary to maintain a good daily meditative practice; simply offereing meditations to others is not enough.

Engaging in a continuous and committed practice leads to a deeper impact in the meditations you offer.

Mastery

Here, the conquest of a solid and correct meditation practice has been achieved. The gong facilitator is a well-established meditation practitioner. When meditation is mantain correctly and daily for many years, the sound language of the gong begins to be understood. There is clarity about what is happening at each moment of the sessions. Each sound expresses information on multiple levels, and this information is clear to the facilitator. There is mastery in and over the sound movements. It is possible to guide energetic and vibrational movements according to the information heard, fostering not only deeper meditations but also therapeutic and healing spaces.

Teacher

After several years of mastering sound and service with the gong, opportunities to share meditative experiences and realizations naturally arise. It’s important to keep in mind that in this sharing, didactic flexibility is crucial to conveying the essence of the gong meditation to each person according to their different circumstances and abilities. The gong meditation teacher must maintain their own practice and studies, and always continue to update their knowledge. It is recommended that they have a teacher to guide them on their path of meditation and self-liberation.

*Each person decides how deep they want to go. The school will accompany you on your journey if you wish. Vani is available and open to sharing. It depends on each person how far they want to explore the gong and themselves. Beyond the suggestions, it’s important that you express your interest and need.

«The “Viaje Sonoro” was born as a consequence of the annual studies that I had carried out since 2011 in India and other places such as Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Nepal, and Brazil. I consider study trips as my greatest training. Living within other cultures allows me to expand my mind, observe reality from new perspectives, learn new daily practices and since my focus is meditation and sound, I always learn from native sources of sound wisdom.

These experiences of immersion and research are what provide knowledge and understanding about the gong, in addition to being the experiences that transform me as a Human Being. I always stay a long time in each place, which allows me to establish a deep connection with the local culture and its people. Therefore, in sound journeys I try to share my experience, the treasures that I find, my own vision and lifestyle and ultimately the best of what I experience in each place. It is an intimate way of traveling, for those who like to explore new horizons in a safe and careful way in every detail and who, of course, are eager to have a significant experience for their evolution.» Vani.

The «Viaje Sonoro» takes place in:

It provides a trip of true connection with the place, native ceremonies from different traditions, a cultural exchange with inspiring local people and diverse experiences outside the traditional tourist circuit, to transform the trip into a unique and enriching journey. At the same time, the meditative sound will guide us, and in a very organic way you will learn to play the gong professionally.

The sound within the trip is oriented both for those who want to learn and then share the gong in their community or for those who are interested in living the experience only on the trip as a means of meditation and connection with oneself.

Testimonials

It was an awakening at every moment.

“An intensive course on how I want every day of my life, how I want my today every second.
The sound was a catalyst for the important things that happen in that internal underworld that is so difficult for us to hear.
This sound journey was a journey of silence, of pause, to see myself clearly.”

— Nathalie @nathalieyog

This sound journey mobilized every particle of my being.

“I want to share with you my state of fullness and joy that I feel in my heart. It is a before and after. We carry a beautiful seed in our heart, let us sow gratitude and love in ourselves to produce the change outside. Thank you India for making me feel that you are inside me. Thank you Vani for showing me the way. Thank you girls for the help and joy. Namaste.”

— Piry @pelaez6740

How much strength, how much energy!

“I would love to write about those wonderful days, I hope God gives me the inspiration and I can put into words even something of everything we experienced. Thank you Vani, for sharing with us your route. I suppose that a little bit of that endearing experience will unfold every day. I feel like this is just the beginning.
The more I distance myself, the more I quantify what I experienced.”

— Marta @martaortega58

I feel that this journey, as well as the gong, is a great door that has opened for me to discover life through a new path.

“And the dream of the trip to India came true and today I think it was a beautiful trip, I got to know part of a country and its culture that is so different from ours, I learned to sing mantras and ragas. I was with them, the people who were born with that music in their ears, skin and heart.
I met beautiful people and learned from all of them. I also got to know myself more deeply, I reinforced my values to continue applying them.
Maybe as you said one day «the gong is an excuse» to share with others, to show them that there is another way to live life… Thank you Vani for listening to me and sharing your strength with me.”

— Eli @elividasalud

India entered my heart and I am deeply grateful to life for giving me the opportunity to experience India.

“In January 2018 I visited India with 8 other beautiful women that I didn’t know but that I began to appreciate from the first moment. Our local guide, Vani, took us to all the corners she knew, even the most hidden ones that we would hardly have visited if it weren’t for her. She also transmitted to us her experience in meditation, in the local culture and music of India.”

— Natalia @naty_surisvari

For such a beautiful, loving, sweet and profound experience... Just thank you.

“Thanks to the surender and dedication with which Vani Levi invited us to this Journey. We lovingly learned about beautiful instruments like the gong and our voice; at the same time, we were connecting with our path and mission, with our responsibility, with our work to know and go through our fears, love and love each other and continue expanding consciousness.”

Meditations

Since 2015, the “GonGaia” project has provided meditations and gong trainings in archaeological sites or specific places in nature that are part of the cultural and historical heritage of the place, some already recognized as world heritage sites.

The aim of this project is that the people connect with their own wisdom and the ancestral wisdom latent in those spaces on earth and sky; in search of a respectful coexistence with the environment and a peaceful existence as a result of realignment with the frequency of the Earth.

Meditations are generally offered on solstices and equinoxes or on nights of new or full moon under various proposals: accompanying observations of the sky with a telescope, talks on archaeoastronomy, etc. The training in these sites occurs in certain “Viajes Sonoros”.
